Dr. Josh Silver
DC, DACNB · Chiropractic Physician & Functional NeurologistDr. Silver grew up watching his mother work as a physical therapist, and that early exposure to the body stayed with him. He went on to develop techniques, devices, and analysis software that chiropractors in the field use in practice.
Dr. Silver grew up in southern California in the orbit of his mother’s physical therapy practice. That exposure planted a curiosity about the body that followed him through a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Sonoma State University, a massage therapy certification from the National Holistic Institute, and chiropractic school at Life Chiropractic College West, where he graduated as a prominent academic and campus leader.
After school he pursued his DACNB, the Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, through the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies. His interest in upper cervical work led him to spend five years at the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic in St. Petersburg, training directly under Dr. Pierce Sr., the founder of the Advanced Orthogonal Technique. He joined the board of the Advanced Orthogonal Institute and served as a technique instructor there. During that period he built several devices for the correction process including a laser positioning system and a more comfortable headpiece.
He then trained at Imagine X Functional Neurology in Santa Barbara alongside Dr. Adam Harcourt, treating patients with migraine, concussion, dizziness, neuropathy, and chronic pain. He developed neurological rehabilitation techniques for the head and neck during that time, and built CBCT analysis procedures and software for the upper cervical spine that practitioners in the field now use in clinical practice.
He returned to St. Petersburg in 2022 and developed software and 3D-printed instruments for the Advanced Orthogonal upper cervical technique, integrating structural correction with neurological rehabilitation. He launched Neuroplasticity St. Pete in 2024 as the clinical and teaching home for that work, and continues to teach, research, and develop it.
